DNxHR 444 or HQX export

June 3, 2016 at 8:05 amHi,
I am working with AE CS6 and AE CC 2015. I want to export 4K DNxHR 4:4:4 or DNxHR HQX in a Quicktime container.
Project settings are on 16 Bit.
I am able to select the DNxHR HQX or 444 codecs in the Quicktime options. But in the output module trillions of colors is disabled. Doing the same with DNxHD codec and 10 Bit works (trillions of colors is not disabled). How can I export the DNxHR 444 or HQX codecs?

June 4, 2016 at 9:12 amThank you, Dave. As I wrote the bit depth of the project is 16 Bit. And DNxHD HQ (10BIT) export works with trillions of colors. It is only DNxHR where I cannot get HQX or 444????
Please could you try it with your AE?Thank you

June 6, 2016 at 6:20 pmI can’t get DNxHR to do 10-bit output, either (CodecsLE_2.7.1_Win.zip). I’d suggest you file a bug with Avid.
Adobe will be about to write MOV-wrapped DNxHR soon [link], and hopefully their implementation will be 10-bit.

You can report a bug to Adobe here:
https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.htmlBut I suspect that this is Avid’s bug to fix. Apparently you report bugs to Avid by writing a forum post on their community site, which a moderator escalates if it’s a non-user issue.
