If you didnt Photoshop that, then I’d have to say that its an anomaly. Try a reinstall of FCP.

If (a big IF) FCPX were to come to a yet to be released iPad HD Pro, then it would be a completely dumbed down version of the current iteration of FCPX. This in my humble opinion would be even more useless to some of the other veteran editors than FCPX. So why worry or even discuss a non existent app for a non existent piece of hardware.

July 9, 2011 at 9:39 am in reply to: FCP X’s sluggish responsiveness: related to lack of Lion???For me, FCP X has been equally stable on both Snow Leopard and Lion. But I’d say that some of the newer features of Lion are pretty big irritants. And someone who is already pissed off at the lack of Pro control over FCP-X might just be pushed over the edge.

[John Warner] “Does anyone know yet if FCP studio 2 (fcp 6 etc) will work on lion?”
No John, it will not work on Lion as the installer for FCS2 has been written in Rosetta & Rosetta is not available for Lion.
FCS7 on the other hands runs smooth and stable on Snow Leopard.

FCP 7 runs just fine on Lion, its FCP 6 which is not supported on Lion as its installer is written in Rosetta.

July 9, 2011 at 1:42 am in reply to: FCP X’s sluggish responsiveness: related to lack of Lion???You have to try out Lion to realize that it is as quirky as FCP X. Trust me you dont want to touch it with a foot long pole. So my reply would be that FCP X runs best on Snow Leo & if you are having any performance related issues then they can be fixed without changing your OS.

If all these features and price is absolutely necessary to you , then go and build a hackintosh with these said features.

[Craig Seeman] “Not true. You need to make the connected clips into a “Secondary” Storyline. Select the Connected clips (lasso or command click) and hit Command G. You now have a Secondary Storyline which functions very much like a track. You’ll notice that there’s only one connection at the front of the Storyline rather than for each clip. You can add transitions between them. If you change to the Positioner (hit P) you can even move them apart and you’ll get a “gap” (slug) between them as if . . . they were on a . . . track.”
Thanks this will get me through for the time being. Few lesser clicks would have been nicer on Apple’s part though.
I somehow seem to be having this bug where I cant add stablilization to any clip (whether pre analyzed or not) that’s in the primary storyline .
