He was in Macromedia when they developed Final Cut.
He might be able to put together the best of FCPX and FCP Classic.

All that blah-blah-blah may impress people that never heard about Darwin.
FCPX is the evolution of nothing. In fact, FCPX is probably a very bad example on what is EVOLUTION.
Charles Darwin said “The function develops the organ”. And so, only the lack of function may lead an organ to disappear.
FCPX has new organs, but lost some which functions are still needed.
When birds developed their wings to fly didn’t lose their leg to run or their mouth to eat.

I really never saw professionals using that application.

Media formatted as FAT-32 (memory cards) has a file size limit of 4GBs.
Things get chopped when recorded on the memory.

Motion has very good resizing filter: Lanczos.
Is not on the Filters folder, but on Image Units > Geometry Adjustment.

Anamorphic and 16×9 i not exactly the same.
Anamorphic is a technique of distorting a picture to achieve an aspect ratio.So, if you are working with 1280×720 HD stuff, there is nothing Anamorphic on your workflow.
Your footage must show up on the Browser as 1280×720 Squared pixels and you have to edit on a sequence with the same settings. The Anamorphic option on the browser and Sequence Settings must be unchecked.

DigiBeta is 10b/422 (compressed) and should be captured with 10b Unc or Prores.
In the Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betacam) are very well resumed de specs of all the Betacam flavors.

Mp4 is a container, not a codec. Same than QT.
An Mp4/h264 or QT/H264 are the best options.
