Just drop your aiff in compresor and applay the Dolby 2.0 that is AC3 format and you got it.

As long as I know FC do not have that option. You can do it in Shake and probably in Motion, but not in FC.

Jerry i do not agree with you. Your right when you sais that FC when renders do it in uncompress.
Is right that if you start with a 411 or 420 you are using the color information from a pixel to tint three other pixels, but if you are color correcting you are getting a new croma value in each of these pixels. If you go back to to 411 or 420 you are throwing away the croma of three in every four pixels.
Christian, when I make a DVD I edit and color correct in DV, but before to export to Compressor I chage the setting of my sequence to 10b uncompress. The diference with exporting from the DV time-line is huge. So I recommend you your opction “C”.

That’s a good question Neil. I’m working with FC 5.0.4 and I’m still working with the BM 5.6.2. Although I’ve already downloaded the BM 5.7.3 I don’t dare to install them.

Before to drag your image to the FC time-line check the pixel aspect in the FCs brownser, and the image aspect (Annamorphic?).
If I should make that job, I would resize in directly in AE because has better filters for resizing than FC.

If you got I-movie have a try. if you get your camara in, there is nothing with your camara or cable.
In FC try to open a new Capturepreset with your Cannon switched on.

Hi Ignacio,
Try with the set-up “In Timecode break Make New Clip”. In my case it seems that this make desaper the timecode breaks, because I’ve never got a “new Clip”, only the one that I’ve logged.

Its happens the same to me few month ago and the reason was a free plugin that I downloaded from internet. I started FC without the therd -part plugins and fine. After I founf the one giving the problem.

Jerry, the problem i see is that the PAS are hihgly recommended for the 5.1 users, but they don’t say nothing about the 5.0.4 users.

What kind of maintenance you make to your computer? Do you use TechTools or DiskWarrior? Do you have your hard disks “journaled’? Normally when Fc works not too fine I make a good maintenance before trashing preferences or do any other think to FC. I keep as well only the main hard drive jounaled. And talking about big capacity disks, just to add that I’m more happy with my 200Gbs LaCie FireWire 400 than with the LaCie 300Gbs FireWire 800.
