Only way I can think of using PP would be to start a new project and set as 16:9 aspect ratio. Then import all me your video clips and then export all of them. Watch out though, this’ll take forever to complete. You could also try DrDivx – free trial. That might have aspect ratio settings…

    Hmm… Thinking ahead, I like.

Well, there’ll definitely be a lot of advantages, the new DX10 graphics for one. Plus (supposedly) much better built in security. And there could also possibly new bugs that will arise between PP2.0 and Vista, but I’m sure Adobe will iron these out. Also the new GUI will put a much bigger strain on system resources…

    Time will tell

    OK, Thanks
I’ll keep that in mind. Now, while we’re on the subject of DVD anthoring, I’m wondering about bitrates etc. I’m trying to fit either 2 hours each onto 2 DVD’s, or 4 hours on one DVD-9. There’s lots of motion, so what settings should I use, eg: M frames, VBR etc.

    Thanks again

    Hey Harm
Yes, I’m aware that USB1.0 is GENERALLY not at all a useable option, but I’m working on a PC with no USB2.0 controller, and at the moment I have no possible way of getting hold of USB2.0 card. That’s why I’m asking if I should capture directly to the external HDD, or if I should capture to an internal HDD, and then transfer to the external one, and also, what would the chances be of losing data, through transferring so much data to one HDD, and then (through USB1.0) to another? (Yes, yes, I know, digital, not analogue, no generation loss, but things go wrong)

    OK, thanks again

    Thanks for that
But sadly I don’t currently have access to another camcorder, so for now I can’t do that. Do you, or does anyone else know of any way (apart from the one mentioned above) to fix a broken timeline? Surely there must be a program or an option in Premiere?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, as this could save me a lot of time and trouble (and money), that could be put to much better use.

    Thanks again, Chris

    I’m lost…
