what is the uncompressed format of the footage? your timeline settings?

add edits in audio to the every switch in the video angle and then export.
this is just a work around i am suggesting, see if it helps

Go to ‘Font book’ in Application folder and add this new font there, reopen FCP.

do you have any text layers on the tracks?.. something imported from photoshop ?

try exporting it thru FCP and convert it in mpegstream. In mpegstream keep bit rate max possible and get the total file in desired size.
It just a workaround i am suggesting, generally its a bit rate which determines the pixel depth.

Yes proress is the solution.
Just for information – you will have same problem if you happen to edit/export VOB files as well.
I understand that files such as .mp4 or .VOB are meant for playback purposes and not for the edit.

you might have ran out of your render space, Have u tried deleting render files and freeing some space?
