open any of the earlier version of this project. It happens when you import unsupported files into FCP .. e.g – .MKV files ..

I dont understand why keeping media and render files on internal drives is not recommended.
since thats the place which will provide max. speed, isnt it?
if project is not big then why not on internal drives?

there shouldnt be any problem in converting HD to SD.
and if in doubt just export small bit of timeline and convert it to SD, see if you find any problem in it 🙂

This must be the problem due to mismatch in the resolution.

@Ryan – Can we trust quicktime for the frame rate, I thought QT shows the running frame rate, which is usually lesser than the actual frame rate.
I always get wrong information about the frame rate in QT inspector.

where are your render files? they should be on your local drive
