Many thanks to all who have contributed. I’ll try to follow up on some of your suggestions as I have time.

I’ve been using Sony blanks for scratch copies for the customer. At
the suggestion of another source, I’m planning to use RiDATA printable
blanks for 50 distribution copies. Any comments?I’m also investigating getting a new burner; mine is over two years old.
Is that likely to be any benefit? What’s the best of external burners
these days?THNX/PJO

Many, many thanks. Switching off keyframes seems to have solved
the problem, and I’m back at work. I really appreciate the information.
There are too little ‘gotchas’ that I haven’t already stumbled
into, this was really helpful.THNX/PJO

I’ll check your suggestions as I have time altho I’ve developed a
couple of work-arounds.
Let me repeat my newest problem:Now I have an additional(?) problem:
Neither audio track responds to the mouse. I can’t select, move,
or delete any audio track clip. I’ve changed track targeting,
toggled track output, tried everything else that seems at all
reasonable, but nothing works. I can Undo and reInsert or Overlay,
but that’s really awkward and it’s useless away from the immediate
working area.
I really need a solution; I’m trying to get this piece out. Any
thoughts/suggestions? I can reload PPro if that would help, but if
I’ve just missed (or screwed up) a switch that I’m not familiar with,
that would be easier.THNX/PJO

I tried your suggestion; it didn’t work.

I’ll investigate. How does it work; do you just print on the back of the disc? Any detail “how-to” postings that can be downloaded?

Thanks for the info.
However: I’ve tried to find SteadyMove on the CD, with no success. I can’t find it on the disk with Windows Explorer, and I tried the Install window and the Explore CD Content button — no results. I Searched the CD and the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 folder on the HD — no results. I also looked in the Plug-ins folder on the HD and couldn’t find anything. I then ran the Repair cycle from the CD (thinking there might be a window for installing additional features) with no results. I am running from an Educational Version CD (because that’s who I’m working for), but that often doesn’t make a big difference. Any idea how I can find/install it?

I’ve reviewed the captured files and sync is fine. So if I edit normally, things should be fine—even if the 12-bit original is now designated 32000 HZ while the 16-bit original is designated 48000 HZ??
Many thanks for the help. There’s a lot I don’t know; I’ll keep my notes on this one.
