Be carefull with sound from a sound installation. If your camera has a line input it is OK (but check the level and quality with a headphone). You cannot connect a line output to your microphone input.
If you have a microphone input only, you have three options:
1.Use an external microphon to record the sound coming from the loudspeakers.
2.Use an wireless microphon on the speaker
3.Ask the sound company to record the sound of the presentation
on a CD or DVD.Good luck

Have you tried to start record on the camera manualy and play the time line after your camera is running?
If you do’nt receive the videosignal in your camera, something is wrong with the firewire cable or firewire input of your camera. See you ‘DV in’ on the camera display?Phocas Kroon

You can also export the AVI’s of each project and import them in a new final project.

Have you tried to import the clips on the hard disc into the project?

Maximize the timeline.
Put the playhead on the frame you want to remove (check this with the frame foreward or backward key of the monitor.)
Make a cut with the razor tool and delte the frame.Good luck

Video is 72 pixels/inch also at TV news broadcast. If you use 300 pixels/inch in the timeline for stills it will be rendered to 72 pixels/inch.
Render time of 72 pixels/inch stills in project framesize will save a lot of render time. And don’t worry about clarity of the text. It will be OK.
If you have separate pixtures for the document details, exporting frame from the timeline is not necessary.By the way, if you want to make a frame from the timeline from one particulary track and you have f.e. two tracks at that location you have to switch off the other track temporary.

Maybe you can save time by playing the timeline back to miniDV tape and show the result from tape in a camera or minDV deck

If you use large stills and you are not panning over the stills, convert the stills in Photoshop more close to the size of your project frame size.

The most cost effective way is to buy new miniDV tapes and use the actual miniDV’s as your archive with maximum quality.
It is also safe, because if your harddisc breaks down you lose everything.Phocas Kroon

I prefer to play a miniDV tape with a camera or a deck.
