I think that answers my question… No Sound Forge, no Elastique. No big deal, it just solves what was a bit of a mystery, and yes, Grazie I did read everything and that was why I was baffled.

On another issue, has anyone loaded a .wav file into a media bin and then found the media window missing. (reinstalled and file loaded, so no problem except having to re-instate the media windowWindows 7 Pro64, i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD boot drive, GTX 570 Graphics, Vegas Pro 12

Hi again Grazie,
Been busy with a job, but now finished and decided to go hunting for the Elastique plug-in.
When you said to look in the Plug-in Chooser… did you mean Plug-in Manager? (It doesn’t appear there anyway).
I am only looking for this because I am wondering if certain inclusions are geographic specific (like Amazon won’t ship many things to Australia).
Or I am just plain stupid. 🙁Windows 7 Pro64, i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD boot drive, GTX 570 Graphics, Vegas Pro 12

Is it that confusing? You can select the track you are working on or all tracks, and the ripple effect occurs to all events downstream from events where the CTI is. Simples, I am thinkings, no? (Alexandr Meercat). Sure we have all been caught out editing with auto ripple on, and I really think there should be a more obvious indicator when the function is engaged. The pewee little icon highlight is easy to miss.

The reason I suggested Ultimate was it has templates for audio enhancement and level control built in… if you haven’t tried them, then do. They work.
Like myself and many other indie operators we are not in a position to hire consultants or hire sound studio. Nice if the budget allows, but reality has to be accepted.Windows 7 Pro64, i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD boot drive, GTX 570 Graphics, Vegas Pro 12

One thing that has an effect on the apparent loudness is compression. Probably the best way to add this is with VASST Ultimate plug-in. It has many other benefits as well, but worth the money for its audio handling when you want something “out of the box”.

Hi Grazie,
I thought I had posted this last night, but it was late and I was a bit tired so must have hit the wrong button. My question was where do I find the Elastique plug-in? I have VP 12 and latest build. All I see is time and pitch manipulators in the effects tab, but no mention of Elastique. The FX I mention look nothing like your screen shot.

Grazie.. I have the latest build of Vegas Pro 12 and don’t seem to have the Elastique plug-in. Downloaded from SCS, so should be the same as you have… where the heck is it hidden?
