Elastique plug-in… where is?
Posted by Phil Seymour on November 28, 2013 at 12:35 amHi again Grazie,
Been busy with a job, but now finished and decided to go hunting for the Elastique plug-in.
When you said to look in the Plug-in Chooser… did you mean Plug-in Manager? (It doesn’t appear there anyway).
I am only looking for this because I am wondering if certain inclusions are geographic specific (like Amazon won’t ship many things to Australia).
Or I am just plain stupid. 🙁Windows 7 Pro64, i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD boot drive, GTX 570 Graphics, Vegas Pro 12

November 28, 2013 at 6:30 amHi Phil.
Please carefully re-read from the original thread my response to “Matt”; my results in finding the official line from SCS and now John Hancock’s success in also locating Elastique too:-
1] Enhanced audio event timestretch
and pitch shifting with zplane élastique Pro.Other than wishing you well, with your quest, I am at a loss as to what more I can add or tell you.
Cheers

November 29, 2013 at 3:20 amI think that answers my question… No Sound Forge, no Elastique. No big deal, it just solves what was a bit of a mystery, and yes, Grazie I did read everything and that was why I was baffled.

“[Phil Seymour] “.. No Sound Forge, no Elastique.”“
_______________________________________________________________No, Phil, not according to the OFFICIAL VP12 Vegas Family Comparison Chart, and unless I’m missing something, I am not seeing a Sound Forge requirement in the requirements either?
Here is another acknowledgement explaining for the need of updating of the previous 32-bit Sound Forge plugs NOT working in 64bit but subsequently been re-written for the 64-bit platform that IS VP12 – As we know, VP12 is ONLY 64-bit.
“New! 64-bit audio plug-ins
Previously, a number of Sound Forge Pro 32-bit plug-ins did not work in Vegas Pro 64-bit versions. These plug-ins have been re-written for 64-bit and are now compatible with Vegas Pro 12. The updated plug-ins include the four Noise Reduction 2.0 plug-ins (Audio Restoration, Click and Crackle Removal, Clipped Peak Restoration, and Noise Reduction), along with Acoustic Mirror, Zplane élastique Pro timestretch, and Wave Hammer.”
Phil, if you are not seeing this plug in your licensed copy of VP12 I’d be taking this up with SONY directly, then at least we could get the “official” line to remove any ambiguity, and bring forth clarity to the “Official Vegas Family Comparison Chart“.
Cheers

November 29, 2013 at 8:39 amHere’s the Cross Referenced line of Elastique Plug AND VP12. I’ve smudged-out the offers being made, but you can clearly see what I’m driving at:

November 29, 2013 at 4:43 pmIf you are looking for the elastique for time stretching, pitch shift, then AFAIK you do not select this as a plug-in. When you stretch/compress an audio event, what happens is controlled by the audio event properties. There you will see an option for time stretch / pitch shift. If defaults to None. Choose elastique and adjust your elastique options to taste.

November 29, 2013 at 5:16 pmYes that is possible Norman. But to individually select and access
this plugin easier and with more flexibilty, one has to install
Soundforge.Steve Rhoden
