More an AfterFX thing I would have thought. Maybe someone could make a sequence for you. 🙂 Unless you have AFX of course.

I am about to do the same thing… capture VHS to DVD, and in the past the only way to remove the lines at the bottom has been to open pan/crop and zoom in a touch. I really didn’t lose much in resolution, at least no-one noticed it 🙂

Warren… do you mean the video has moved on the timeline or in what you see in the preview window?

If it is the timeline, check auto ripple is off, and remember the mouse wheel zooms in or out on the timeline view.

November 29, 2012 at 11:49 am in reply to: Preview monitor not showng effects on events

Thanks Steve. The odd (well to me it is) thing is when split screen is selected, the left and right sides of the split are selectable showing the effect, selecting “all” shows the event without the effect. I wasn’t looking carefully at the split screen icon and it was engaged. Turn it off, and all is ok. I woke up that the split screen view is automatically turned on if you select left or right from that drop down list… it’s sort of a helpful-unhelpful thing. Anyway, all figured out now and I can go to bed and not have nightmares.

Never happened in 10 or even 11, but Murphy’s Law applies along with the Law of Averages and add a Quantum of Solace.. and Bingo! It has happened to moi.

Weird link… just pops up for 3 seconds then disappears. But given the crash performance of New Blue, is it worth pursuing. Everyone likes something for free, but not when it isn’t worth anything anyway. Am I too cynical?
