  • For me it’s look like just to be the “toggle pixel aspect ratio correction” preview in after effect, since dvcpro hd is not square pixel you have to use this preview mode to see the proper ratio in after effect on your square pixel computer screen, but is never look good!

    You can achieve a look like this just by stabilizing your shot around the element you want to be steady.You’ll have to shot more wide then you want your final frame, because when you stabilize, the frame move to keep the element you chose in the center.Mocha for after effect is the tool you want for this.Check on there website for a tutorial on image stabilization.

    When I use Keylight and i make a mask before I applied klight, klight just dont work!!!I have to apply klight then the mask…maybe on your side it make some other weird thing.And for the replace color, just use “source”.

    What i like to do to color correct my keyed footage, is to track matte the original footage with the precomposed keylight setup, this way you have no problem with color.

    There a plugins called trapcode Horizon, It will add a big sphere to your scene, as a background, and you can put any image/video on it.And it will move with your cam as well!

    Very good help page, there a lot of thing that can interfere with shadow casting, good to know!But I have succeed by just copy all the elements in another comp and its now working! I cant see any difference with the problematic comp, it just a exact copy.

    I have created another comp and put my elements in it and surprise, everything is working fine for no reason!

    I”ve tried everything!!! Even with no blending mode i have no shadow!
    I should composite my scene differently, i know i can, but this problem make me curious, really.

    This is the timeline of the first picture, the precomp

    this is the timeline were the shadow disapear.

    note that the precomp is named “Light_ALL” and i have turned off some layers for the purpose.
