As far as what the problem was, refer to my previous post. Basically, filters and effects won’t work if you have more than one video card.
As far as a fix, there are none. Unless of course you want to take out your other cards in your computer…. which some people have to do.
Sorry I didn’t have a better solution for you. :-/ I ended up buying another computer for my filters…works great, but expensive solution (and time consuming)!

Yes, I did actually. :-/
So the deal is that for SOME reason…Apple has decided that if you have more than one video card, you’re SCREWED!
Yep…. did you recently add another video card to your system? I have 3 and it doesn’t work. I bought another machine and tested it….worked perfectly (it only has one video card in it).
I ended up calling a friend of mine who works for Apple…obviously they don’t publicize this bit of factual knowledge, but that’s the answer.
Doesn’t Apple know that video professionals use more than one video card??? It’s ridiculous if you ask me.
Good luck bro!!! Let me know what you do.

Well, I bought the Intensity Pro card from Black Magic and LOVE it for After Effects…. but not for Final Cut Pro (doesn’t work well for that).

Oooops!!!
I meant 720×480 … my bad. :-/

I ended up re-installing FCP…. which worked, for a couple of weeks…now, here I am AGAIN!!!!
Did anyone ever figure this out? Re-installing isn’t the solution. :-/

November 14, 2008 at 6:10 pm in reply to: best way to export a recorded powerpoint presentation?I think you could save a lot of “size” if you mess with your compression settings. H.264 is a good compressor that looks amazing. What are you using?
Another thing I’ve done in the past, is use Keynote. I’d import the Powerpoint into keynote, then use the EXPORT TO QUICKTIME feature, which makes it an interactive movie…VERY effective and always a crowd pleaser.

Thanks everyone, I REALLY appreciate the comments.
I’ll post an example when I complete it. 🙂

July 23, 2008 at 6:12 pm in reply to: Final Cut Pro and Black Magic Intensity Pro IssueFirst of all…THANK you for responding….
I got the same kind of response… “It’s just you” type thing. I’m so happy to see that it’s NOT just me. We should ban together (you, me and your friend) and do a conference call with the Black Magic folks…maybe then they’ll listen. When it works, it’s GREAT!!! but…. it’s as the title suggests “magic”..so I feel like I need to have some magic to get the thing working. :-/
I’ll try your work-around, see if it helps any.
THANKS again!!!!
