OK, in contrast to Walter here is my experience:-

Plugged it in
Set up
Backed everything up with time machine on 3 computers
Got Iphone on wifi

Forgot about it

The only thing I’d say I would change is having the disk images at root

Sounds like your broadcast output settings don’t match the timeline and/or monitor.

Yeup, render out a self contained movie first. FCP to Motion only carries over some effects.

You cannot change the frame rate of a project, so cut and paste the layers into a new project with the correct rate.

What do you want to import into FCP? Images, data?
This can already be done using plugins, just need a bit more info from you.
