Ryan said he wanted to end up on a country and that is do-able within Motion. Granted if you want to fill the screen with Monaco or The Vatican then you are not going to have enough resolution.

For true shared storage it looks about right. If you start squeezing the budget, then things will suffer.
There are a number of ‘san in a can’ options you could look at though.

How far do you want to ‘zoom in’?
Motion is constained by the texture limit of your graphics card which these days can be anywhere from 2000 pixels to 8000 pixels square.
So, wrapping an 8K by 8K map of the world with the sphere filter will give you the best resolution to work with if your card is up to it.
