Yes, when you register with silicon colour there is a forum there.
FT is a lot of money for what it does and you have to have an X800 card in your mac otherwise it won’t instal.I’m back to grading in Shake, but if you must have those wheels….

[walter biscardi] “Well, if you’re going to talk about high volume storage, then nothing beats a Medea FCR2X Fibrechannel Array.
“How about my 5.6TB Xserveraid?

We managed to fix it by toggling off the 422, saving the project, quitting & rebooting then enabling the remote.
Strange. Thanks for the help though

I think there is a new version that is a filter, keeps the name of the clip.
Graeme will probably give you more info. Filter works well though.

Shoot 16:9, 30p (I’m from PAL land) and slighly underexpose. Once you’ve clipped the whites they are gone forever.
I’ve just finished grading a short film that wa shot on a XL2 using the above and I was impressed by the quality.

Sean,
Can you do us a favour and drop a PAL DVC PRO (might have to export some bars) clip into a 10bit & 8bit Pal sequence and see what happens?
I would try it myself but I’m locked into 4.5 & 10.3.9 as it is all a bit mission critical at the momentWe are about to set up a 9 seat Xsan system(+2 x MDC) in London and using DVCP for archive material would mean that we could save 2 XserveRaids on the instalation.

[Graeme Nattress] “way too expensive, but lovely if you’ve got the cash lying around doing nothing and you don’t mind wasting it”
Oh come on Graeme, it is a professional piece of broadcasting equipment. I didn’t want to spend 27K on buying one, but not having a decent VT is a bit like having a computer without a printer.
If you are in the game of supplying finished broadcast masters, whether they be documentaries or commercials, hiring or buying a digi is not a waste.

I’ve got more or less the exact same system and have no problems at all.
What framerate are you getting if you use just a particle like ‘clockwork’ in a PAL 10bit sequence/preset?
I take it you’ve repaired permissions etc. Also try the Blackmagic speed test on your RAID.
