Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Pal 50% slow

  • Posted by Autorecall2003@yahoo.co.uk on May 24, 2005 at 2:04 pm

    Hi,

When I slow a pal clip 50% it really doesent look good. If I use ‘frame blending’ I get a kind of field interpolated effect (looks like that). If I turn ‘frame blending’ off there’s 2 frames per picture and it looks too stuttering. Isen’t there a way of making the 2 fields in the pal shots look like 2 frames and therefore looks like a good 50% slowmotion?

    Thanks

Graeme Nattress wrote a plugin for me that does exactly that

    Check out his website

    Ok, Thanks.

I’ve searched his website. It seems to be the ‘frames & fields’ you are talking about?

I’m trying to use it right now, but to be honest… I don’t get how ‘generator’ not ‘filter’ works. I’ve tried reading in the manual, but I still don’t get it. It’s not just drag & drop. So, please if you’ve got some time left to spend – give me a super short ‘how to use generator’ lesson.

    Thanks

I think there is a new version that is a filter, keeps the name of the clip.

Graeme will probably give you more info. Filter works well though.
