Motion does not recognise the anamorphic flag in FCP, indeed QT doesn’t support aspect ratio display changes.

Proably a field order issue.
Change your sequence settings to lower for NTSC, upper for PAL, but lower for all DV based editing.

Try making a template per graphic – that drags the media too.
Then move the files out of the templates folder.Peter

Run them through media mangler, sorry manager.
You then have the option to discard media not actually used.

You’ve got to take the anamorphic horizontal size, not the frame width.

Count the pixels and then do the maths.
Ok, back to school, 1 PAL frame 720×576
16:9 ‘real’ width = 1024 therefore 1024×576
so a ratio of 2.1 would be 1024 divided by 2 = 512
576-512 = 64
so crop 32 pixels of the top & bottom of your ANAMORPHIC frame and bingo 2:1 aspect ratio.
No doubt some better mathematician/aspect ratio buff will prove me wrong, but its a startthis is interesting too:-

Tricky one, to be truthful although companies say that all the apps talk to each other and you can roundtrip to your hearts content, as you point out there are limitations.
Make a self contained movie of each of your CC’d video tracks from FCP and give that to your AE guy.
