    Q actually only toggles between the viewer and canvas. If you want to select any window individually you can also try, Apple 1 (viewer) Apple 2 (canvas) Apple 3 (timeline) Apple 4 (Browser). Just a FYI. Most times when there is a keybooard shortcut if you go up to the menus, to the right of the command the shortcut will be shown.

    This is the best FCP keyboard map in my experience. What is really great about it is you can open it up in Mac OS X Preview or Adobe Acrobat, Command+F (Search), type a key word like mark, canvas, viewer, et al and it will take you right to the all shortcuts keys related to say like mark, mark in, mark out.
