The first bit is plain and simple; photoshop layers, masking and text,
the interesting part is to have the letters dance to the music.
convert audiotrack to keyframes and write an expression in the text animators size property, that links to the audio keyframes. (I’ll keep that in mind, for if a client looks for something cool)I don’t know if there’s a good book out there, my advice would be; 1.know what you want, 2.try and 3.look on the internet. Good luck!

AE also comes with render engine, a seperate render program
but you have to prepare your project with the render in the renderqueue, collect files and enable the watch folder.
then open render engine and have it watch the watch folder, then you can just keep on working…
(this works great in red too. any connected machine will get the render to be done, and if you select as outputmodule an image sequence, then all machines connected will render the same project) -

April 3, 2009 at 4:10 pm in reply to: Shrubs, Greenery, Bushes, Plants for compositing?Do you have a 3d program such as cinema?
it would make it a lot easier. look on the web for 3d plants… -
Weird, if you would say the key footage is prores…
why don’t you export the footage in another (more) AE-friendly format?
animation ore none…
Just a wild guess, but it does sound like a compression problem. -

I had a moment during renders and I looked into your problem
I put a 600 zoom camera at -600 and the floor even at 90º is more or less acceptable
it’s then at 1044 Y and 1500 in Z but to adjust even more at 80º it comes up to 779 Y
and I think you can sell this (don’t look at the key)

You could also make the wavy lines a lot longer (several screens wide) and have them go right and left…

For what I understand, you would like the mask to work the other way around?
next to the mask-controls in your layer there is this button that sais “add” and next to it
a checkbox “inverted”. with these two controls you can have the mask behave as you wish. -
After you’ve been wiggling a bit with expressions, you’ll not want to use “the wiggler” anymore
there’s so much more control writing this simple expression and it leaves it free of keyframes. -
The only thing I can think of is reinstall. If your installdisc doesn’t mount
you could download the trial of the exact same version from adobe
and reenter your serialnumber…I was going to say, forget the presets, you don’t need them!
but the plugins….
