    Hi,

    here’s a link with a little commercial:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAAr7TNbp1w&feature=channel_page
I wanna do something quite similar to the intro. Can someone tell me a way to do it?
I just don’t know where to start in After Effects, which effects I need, etc.
I know the basics in AE, did a lot of sky replacements, motion tracking and keying but that’s something new to me.
Also, can anyone recommend a good book about After Effects CS4, for beginners and advanced users?

    Cheers Andy

The first bit is plain and simple; photoshop layers, masking and text,
the interesting part is to have the letters dance to the music.
convert audiotrack to keyframes and write an expression in the text animators size property, that links to the audio keyframes. (I’ll keep that in mind, for if a client looks for something cool)

I don’t know if there’s a good book out there, my advice would be; 1.know what you want, 2.try and 3.look on the internet. Good luck!

    Hi Peter,
    thanks for your response!
I don’t necessarily need the dancing letters, but I’ll definitely try to work it out in my process of learning, so thanks for your advice!
Now let’s talk about the uninteresting, plain and silmple part. 🙂
How do I create these different animated backgrounds between seconds 2 and 10?
The color strokes right at the beginning, the blue graphics right after that on the top or the blue background? I think I could work that out somehow, but what would be a quick and easy way to do it? What is done in AE and what in PS (I’m quite advanced in PS, so that shouldn’t be a problem)?
Would be great if you could help me, thanks a lot!
    Cheers Andy

Anyone some hints how to do it? Here’s another example:

It’s just about the first few seconds, how to create that strokes.

    Thank you,
    Andy
