If the audio is already ‘married’ to the imported clip; select the clip(s) and unlink them (cmd-L) and simply delete just the audio in the timeline.

Hey Paul,
I have the yuv signal going into a Beta Deck then composite out to NTSC monitor. UPDATE – I shut all down for a half hour with 5.7 installed and now it works fine. I’m not venturing into 6.0 till I hear more. I’m not even too sure what it does for PPC non-Intel machines anyhow.

I fired up this morning and all was fine with 5.7. I upgraded to 6.0 and all is broken. I uninstalled 5.7 and all things BM related. I reinstalled a backup copy of 5.7 and now that is broken. Same b&w NTSC with “wavy” video.
I have an edit Monday morning. Need to resolve this ASAP.

I guess i was wrong with the above. According to both the manual and the read-me stuff (though it is not specific that it works with PCI-X i don’t think) it SHOULD work.

I see NOW (might be a good idea to put it on the website and not make us d/l before we get the info) that it is good only for PCIe machines. How do i get the previous drivers?

You need to change your playback to something like (not in front of it) HDTV 23.97< 29.97 8 or 10 bit. It's a bit confusing, but it does work and you can do a letterbox. peter

and if you’re on a Meridian – i believe you can forget it. I am pretty sure you need an Adreneline…

Hey Aaron,
It’s Peter. With P2 Log, I only looked at the files once they were transfered to the HD you provided. I did not do the actual creation to QT. I was able to import 2 of the 3 files on the last card which was not erased at the end of the day. With P2 log, i was able to look at the one corrupt mxf file and delete it and then the two remaining files imported fine. I will call you tomorrow and see if we can fix this. I’m not at my email machine so talk to you tomorrow.

It does seem to be a problem with FCP5. I had a similar situation. I tried everything i could think of and what others suggested. All the obvious. Blurr, even lines, etc. Could not get rid of the flicker when moving stills vertically or horizontally. I’ve heard talk of this bug elsewhere also.

I’ve heard talk that FCP5 might have some problems with stills that earlier versions did not. Anybody remember?
