I’m a bit naive re: this aspect of my Decklink HD/SD card, so forgive me.

The Decklink system settings panel has an option to convert from HD to SD in various flavors. I assumed this meant I could print a 720P 23.98 project on to a Digibeta (using NTSC, 29.97 control) in real time, but so far – nada. I can get the deck to sync and edit from FCP, but only the SDI embedded audio is coming through, no video.

So, is this workflow possible without throwing the seq into an SD project and rendering the entire timeline?

    Thanks,

    Michael Buday

    Michael,

You need to change your playback to something like (not in front of it) HDTV 23.97< 29.97 8 or 10 bit. It's a bit confusing, but it does work and you can do a letterbox. peter
