Anyone see or hear about new keyframe functions. How about copy and paste of keyframes for starters. How about timecode display in log and capture during digitizing

Is it just that you don’t see any movement on the meters or is your actual clip captured without audio. Try using capture now in Log and capture. Be sure to set device control to non-controlable device.

  • I recently had the same problem and tracked it down to the top firewire connection on my Lacie 250 gig drive. I tried it on other systems with the same results. I haven’t fixed it yet but I’ve got the drive on the end of the chain just using the bottom connector. Is your problem always the same drive or different ones at different times?

I thought the same thing about swapping in the Kona 2 and pulling out the Kona SD. If you have a DA give it a try. When I was having problems AJA lent me one of their DA’s until my kbox came. It solved aa my styabilty issues.

Are you using the k box? I originally had unstable video with out the kbox . My cable run was long to my machine room (about 150″). We had to add a DA to the video input. That solved my issues. Now that we have the Kbox installed the i/o has been very stable and accurate to and from tape.

I have been working with AJA support myself regarding the crackle issue. I personally think it is a Kona 2 Quicktime issue. When I’m hardcore editing all day long I’ll get the crackle maybe 3 or four times a day. I instantly stop hit play again and it goes away. I’ve had the same crackle playing a quicktime with audio in the Quicktime player. All my crackle quicktimes have been 48 khz. I don’t use 41.1 much. I have never had crackle in Itunes with mp3 or mp4’s. At one point I thought it was my Flying Cow a/d converter, but I swapped it out for another one and still had the crackle. For now I’m just living with it because it is occasional. It is however a problem when it does occur during a client screening.
