EDL Export Question
I just finished in hour long show on FCPHD and I had to output an EDL (CMX3600) for color correct. When I export to EDL it has a FCP icon attached to it, will other machines have a hard time reading it? I think they are using an Avid. Might be a silly question, but I’m relatively new to FCP having come from Media 100 and I want to be sure I did everything right. Man I love FCP!

I use these edls all the time for onlines with discreet Inferno and they work fine.

When I try reading an edl from FCP on Discreet Smoke. I always have problems. The moment we add motion effects or freez frame or flip flop there is a problem to read these edl. We have to manually punch freeze frame or time warps etc. Is there a way to rectify these edl compatibility issues. If its a straight cut to cut edit then there is no problems but that not the solution.
