Hey Mike,

BCC 7.0.4 is indeed current. Just make sure that you are using the 64 bit version of BCC if you are using the 64 bit version of Vegas. I’m sure you are indeed aware of all that but I had to mention it just in case.

Hi,

One thing to check is that you using the matching Vegas / BCC installers. They need to be either 32 bit or 64 bit and you can’t mix and match. So, if you are using Vegas 11 64 bit you need to use BCC 7 64 bit too.

The Boris Title Crawl is a text only tool and cannot import anything other than a text fie. To achieve the result that you have in mind, I’d suggest using Boris RED, which has built-in automated title roll/crawl/fade tools that can be applied to any object, text, images, video or geometric shapes.

Hi,

Yes, you can use the BCC Extruded Spline to do that.

Add a video track above the static image and add a piece of media to that track to which you apply the BCC Extruded Spline. Then, in the filter control panel, set the Path Type pop-up to Line and reduce the Extrusion and Bevel amount to the values that look good to your eye.

You need to click on the Particles track in the timeline to make the controls visible in the Composite Window. If you click in the image outside of the control widget, you will cause RED to switch focus and the application will automatically select the video track instead.
