As far as I know, the only way to control he reveal time of a chart is by increasing or decreasing the duration of the effect timeline.

I’m unclear as to how one would go about marking a universal keyframe in FCP … perhaps someone else on this forum can chime in on that one. I know that Avid AVX 2 supports this but I’m not so sure about FCP. I think it may be on a parameter by parameter basis.

Each editing system sports a different API, which is how we program our products to work within a particular host environment. And each API has it’s own set of idiosyncrasies. None are perfect. Have you tried using RED? When you use RED keyframing is the same regardless of the host environment.

Hi,

In FCP you need to click on the cross-hair point control in the controls window to activate any on-screen control before clicking in the frame to reposition the point that you want to move. And you need to do this every time you want to move it as the control is released by FCP as soon as you take your finger off the mouse button. This is just the way things are in FCP and has nothing to do with the filter itself.

I just went over the issue that you and Mukesh were working on which dates back to August 05 and from the engineering notes there appears to be not much that we can do about this. The problem is due to a non-round (decimal) Y value and linear interpolation. Changing to a round value (like 180) and setting interpolation to constant appeared to help, at least according to the report that was filed in our database.

I’m not sure what the ship date for that product is as I manage RED and BCC, not Blue, but I’ll ask the product manager of Blue and let you know what he estimates the ship date to be and if there will be a public beta that he can make available to you while you wait.

Before you make a decision to purchase BCC 4 for RED 3.0.4 you should download the BCC 4 trial version from our web site to ensure compatibility with your system. Once we can prove that it works you can consider the purchase.
