Hi Kieran,

You may have the Preview with Square Pixels option enabled in RED. To change this you need to go into the RED effect and look under the Preview pull down menu. Make sure that the Preview with Square Pixels option is not checked.

Hi Kat,

I’m not sure what caused this problem to suddenly appear but one thing that might help is to have both BCC 4 and BCC 5 installed on this system so that the older effects that you created using BCC 4 will not call BCC 5 at render time, which is what I suspect could be causing the instability.

Hi Pascal,

Upon rereading the title of your message, I noticed that you are using a Mac. Unfortunately at this time we do not have a solution for Boris RED users in the Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 host on the Mac. I believe it should work on Windows, although if you’re on a Mac that won’t help you all that much.

Premiere Pro CS3 is new to the Mac and there are many integration issues that have to be worked through before RED 4 will actually function as expected. When we have an update of RED 4 that works within this PP CS3 on the Mac we’ll post a message on the web site and also on the Cow forum.

Meanwhile please know that you can use the BCC 5 filters in Premiere Pro CS3 on the Mac.

MacOS 10.4 is supported and I doubt that this is the issue that you are facing in regard to not being able to open the project. I am running 10.4.11 on one of my machines and can attest to the fact that the software performs as expected under this version of Mac OS X.

The fastest way for you to resolve the issue is to send in an email marked urgent to our support department, who will handle your case and assist you in getting the system back in order, including opening that stubborn project.

Hi Mark,

Well if you purchased a new iMac then you have a MacIntel based system and Graffiti 2 (which is antiquated software at this stage) is not designed to run on that chip. You will have to upgrade from Graffiti 2 to Graffiti 5.2, which should operate as expected. The installer will place all of the Graffiti software into the right folder for you automatically, without you having to tell it where to place the files.
