Did you redownload the installer from our website? We’ve recently uploaded a new version that works with AE CS3 on Intel Macs, but we kept the same version number since everything else about the plugin is the same.
So perhaps you have a version of 4.5.8 that was before our recent upload? Can you download the latest version from our website (even though it has the same verison number), and see if that fixes your problem?

This is a known bug with RSMB on adjustment layers within AE 7. Make sure to get the AE 7.0.1 update, as this will probably fix the problem.
if it doesn’t, then then only solution is to precomp what is under your adjustment layers and apply RSMB there.
(FYI, this is a bug we reported to the AE team and is not something we have control over)

I know you are not asking for a product placement here :-), but Twixtor can work with Time Remapping in a way that also time-remaps the audio appropriately using AE’s audio time-remapping while using Twitor to time remap the frames. FYI, You’ll need a workaround that involves precomping (see our manual and sample project files that are available).

As far as the in- and out-points problem is concerned:,yes Twixtor assumes that things start at time zero instead of at the in-point (bad programmer ;-)). So you should follow Steve’s suggestion of precomping. This should solve that problem.
Well, I don’t think going to 25% by doing two passes is the answer. Sometimes footage is just hard to track, and some manual assistance is needed. For problematic footage, you might try Twixtor Pro. What’s the difference, you ask? See our features page here: https://www.revisionfx.com/products/twixtor/features/
Scroll down the page and see what the Twixtor Pro additional features are. And yes, I know that you’d like something that works without manual intervention, but sometimes that’s the only way.

Did you see the manual that is installed when you installed the Twixtor plugins? If not, make sure you find that and read through it (it’s short!)
In addition to the description of all the settings, the manual refers you to this online doc:
https://www.revisionfx.com/support/faqs/hostfaqs/sequences_longer/#After%20EffectsAlso there are online tutorials, available here (the tutorials assume you’ve at least skimmed through the manual): https://www.revisionfx.com/products/twixtor/support/#After%20Effects,%20Premiere%20Pro,%20Final%20Cut%20Pro,%20and%20Combustion

[Janaki Cedanna] “So if I’m running FCP 5.1.4 currently, do I need to do anything differently/additionally when I install FCP 6?”
You’ll be good to go. FCP 6 will find the plugin if it is already showing up in 5.1.4.
