Double clicking a folder in After Effects merely opens the folder it doesn’t create a new panel.

A new folder / bin in a panel with the results of a search would work well.

October 19, 2016 at 10:53 pm in reply to: Effects Panel Window forward 1 frame

    Hi Peter,

Actually that does work! The reason it works is because I should have activated the Program Panel Window. It doesn’t work on the Effects Panel Window.

    Problem solved!

    Thanks

Indeed… it is only really possible now AfterEffects can realtime render and playback at true frame rate and quality. But more importantly you just want the playhead to stop at the same time as on Premiere.

I am sure on old systems it was possible to slave a VTR to premiere and aftereffects using GPI.

Also there were some broadcast title HTML systems which seemed to update in realtime

    Just some thoughts….

September 15, 2016 at 10:58 am in reply to: Can’t open comps

I have this problem as well. When I try to open certain comps from the Project window they fail to open in Timeline window.

When I import a new .ai file as a comp that is un-openable as well.

However, if I right click and select New Comp from Selection then the resulting New Comp opens in the Timeline!!

You can then double click on the nested Comp and that opens the original in the Timeline!!!

    That’s a neat work around 😉

Thanks Adobe for adding this useful feature.

  • That works! It is a bit slow and I have to use the mouse… but it works!

Still not sure why normal copy and duplicate protocol doesn’t apply to title items in the bin.

    Thanks

  • I disagree with you reply:

Both copy and duplicate result in new title items which are independent when modified. The problem there in being one has a number of titles with the same name but different contents.

November 25, 2014 at 1:16 pm in reply to: where is the eyedrop tool in the Color Picker

Has anyone got a list of these improvements we need for Adobe Premiere so that we can sit down with the software designers and correct them one by one. That is what my director makes me do!

Have they ever tried using their software?

Do they pay for the subscription updates?

    Thanks for the work around.

so retarded… ‘100%’ made me laugh! I was trying to match coloured frame frame with 96.6666% Hue and then it renders out a completely different shade.

  • Is there an expression which will globally loop all keyframes present in a layer? rather than having to apply a loop expression to each property.

‘loop all keyframes in all properties in the layer’

    thanks thanks thanks thanks!
