Speaking specifically about your UK use.
Id really recommend you hire kit in the UK. We have recently switched to channel 38 from 69 here, and although there are still VERY limited (4) bands of free use in ch 70 they are VERY congested with every mobile disco and keep fit class. If youre doing something of even tiny importance, id remove yourself from the likelyhood that it will already be taken by an amateur, or overridden with intereference. Ch 69 will work up until the end of the Olympics, and is then given over to mobile broadband, where it this will swamp and radio mic out of the sky (and likely take ch 70 with it so is the rumour)
So ch 38 is where you need to be from now on in the uK, and this is regulated by JFMG. They charge £70 per mic license. If you hire from a broadcast kit hire outfit, it will already be licensed for you.
You can buy ch 38 kit and use illegally it without a license, but if youre shooting say in London where there is v high radio use, and youre on a licensed users frequency, dont be surprised if JFMG officers turn up and confiscate your kit.
Just hire, or hire a sound recordist here who will have the necessary licenses (hopefully)

Would you like it to mix it for you as well.

Mixing is all about a collaboration between your ears, fingers, heart (emotion) and technicals (like desks, DAW, and meters. Its about creation.
Pop a limiter on it to protect your maxes if you cant do it in the mix yourself, and the mix will be right if your ears say its right, not some wrtten spec from a broadcaster.
They can remix it themselves if they arent happy.

HI Job.
Is it your understanding that encore should take a qt ref file?
If that qt ref file links a video mixdown file in avid, will that still work in encore. Are there any length restrictions you know about. the hd timeline is 2hr 32 mins.
and lastly, in encore , if i set the compression to automatic will that crunch the video down by the correct amount to fit on a 25gig BD.

You can only export complete files from PT without a realtime bounce down.
Try this. select all regions on a timeline that can go into 1 file
consolidate them (edit consolidate) . turns into Makes 1 region on the timeline. (maybe track by track?) If you want to retain the sep files, new track and dup copies into this track.
select this new region in the region list. select shift apple & K (or select “export region as files” from the drop down in the regions tap on right of screen.
Choose export options etc etc from dialog and youre done.

You should look at audionetwork. https://www.audionetwork.com.
Its not library music that you have to pay for through the nose every time you use it. Its a licensed option but the quality is excellent and the range massive. All music is supplied to us on a hard drive with search engine, or you can download from the website with a login password.

Do take a look. if youre using library music you should look at it. We used to use library like you, and having bought an audio network license, havent had to pay for library since.

OMF, consolidate and Embeded.
Should make a single file .omf and check the size. a few k and it has no audio. Megs + and it does contain the audio.
