Presuming you’re using more than one camera and therefore have multiple reord tras, you could consider doing a mix from the board, but also running each mic to sep tracs so you have everything available in post in the event that the live mix is less than perfect a any moment.
Might seem like an extra complication, but your mixer should be abe to provide direct outs in addition to the mix.
Might save the day.

But you def need a mixer board
And I’d consider 2 radio macs for the audience and a spare for the panel in case one goes down, depending on how long the recordings will run for.

Im in the UK so 25 fps. Iv enever edited using ama, always just to allow transcode, but ama linking to avchd (especially spanned clips) is just a no go for me.

The strange thing is i dont see thousands of other people across all avid forums complaining of the same, so it conclude it must be something in my workflow, but its not

1) to old an avid. Im on 6.0.1.1 (about to install 6.5)
2) because my camera files are no good. I have had same issue across 3 cameras now all shooting avchd
3) because my processor is too fast and the hard drives cant keep up. Ive adjusted the avids access to cpu cores from 8 down to 2 in the core affinity settings to no avail.
4) because my material is on usb. Ive tried accessing from the cards from the camera via usb AND transferring them into the hard drives.

Im at a loss.

I presume that your camera is shooting avchd files, like my g3.
I have terrible trouble transcoding AMA linked clips into my avid mc 6.0.1.1, getting a different error
” upstream pipe stall error”
I’ve never found an answer, yet!

What do your ears tell you?
It it muffled – increase HFCs or mid
Is it thin- increase lf
Is it fluctuating- compress it

Your ears ave to be the first point if start. What do they say

It’ll be mains hum caused by you unbalancing a balanced feed, or it being unbalanced in the 1st place.
Rule 1 in tv – never trust anyone else for anything.
They know even less, probably.
Sound s way trickier than pictures.
What type of feed do you get. Xlr or jack and is it balanced jacks?

Why not put your own mics on speech makers as I would do. 4 speeches 4 mics
