Humming Noise
Hello,
I wanted to ask this question out of curiosity. I am a wedding videographer and for receptions I get a master feed from the DJ or band to capture toasts, music during dancing, ect, usually direction from the mix off of the record out or tape audio. Unfortunately about 40% of the time I get good audio because of the feed being too hot or an unclean feed in general. An example I run into often is the constant humming in the audio. You can hear this through the speakers when nothing is being played. It is that sound you hear when you have a loose cable and you touch the tip of it with your finger.
What is the cause of this type of noise? Anything I can suggest to these guys to improve their audio source?
