I agree that the bezier handles are a little difficult to work with in the Program Monitor. If you haven’t done so already feel free to file a feature request here: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

There’s a few options for modifying keyframes within Premiere.

1. The Program Monitor – You can increase the zoom level in the monitor (this may help a little).
2. The Effects Control panel
3. On the Clip in the Timeline.

Premiere does not have an explicit file size limit. We’ve done a lot of work over the past few years improving support and stability for large files and project sizes. With the growing number of RAW format users this has been very important.

2 things. I’ve heard from some users that none of their custom shortcuts remained when copying to CC from no CC versions. The other thing is some keyboard shortcuts have chnaged since CS5.5 and many many new ones have been added so it may make sense to start from scratch with CC.

I don’t have CS5.5 loaded on my machine so I’m not 100% sure the file is located here but you can give it a shot.

Copy your .kys file from
/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Pro/5.5
 
 
and paste to
/Users/[username]/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/9.0/Profile-[username]/Mac

Hi Jay,

Yes it is true you can’t merge clips if both contain video. I’ve always used the following method which gets the job done pretty quick if you’re not having to do this with tons of clips.

1. Load Cam A into the Source Monitor (Clip you want audio from).
2. Click and drag the ‘Audio only’ button into the Project panel (Audio waveform button just below the monitor).
3. Select both clips in the Project panel > Right-click, choose Merge Clips from context menu.
4. From the Merged Clips dialog, check the ‘Remove audio from AV clip’ selection.

There’s a few known issues with OS X 10.11 and Premiere Pro. I would not recommend updating yet. Please keep a lookout for the Premiere team announces those fixes.

Hi Brian,

I’ve actually moved to a new team within Adobe and I’m no longer working on the Premiere Pro team. However, I do know that Premiere and other Adobe apps will support El Capitan with the fall release. As far as performance improvements I’m not sure but with every release we’re always determined to increase performance.

When you said “It is being touted as the savior for all our Adobe woes.” A lot of people were excited at what they saw at the demo shown at WWDC. What was shown there was preliminary results of how Adobe can make use of Metal. Unfortunately, I’m not sure when you’ll see full support of Metal in Premiere or other Adobe products.

Hi All,

Sorry for the lack of Adobe representation on this thread. As noted by other users this is also being discussed on multiple other forums.

In the past few post I didn’t see a mention of the CUDA driver version used. For anyone still experiencing glitching/artifacts in the monitor can you make sure you’re running CUDA driver 7.0.64. Link provided below. We would love to hear your feedback once tested.
