Keyboard Shortcuts – Where are they stored?

    Hi Everyone,

I’m new to Premier and have a pretty simple question. I’ve worked in Avid and FCP7 for several years for broadcast TV shows and some films.

I’m in the process of learning premier for a short film project I’m working on.
I need to transfer the keyboard settings I’ve created on my home machine to the computer at our studio.

I’m practicing on an older version of Premier (CS 5.5) I don’t know if that matters.

So, is it possible to find my saved keyboard settings somewhere on the CPU, then copy them on to a flash drive and bring them in to another computer?

If so, where are my keyboard settings saved (folder path)?

    Thanks everyone.

2 things. I’ve heard from some users that none of their custom shortcuts remained when copying to CC from no CC versions. The other thing is some keyboard shortcuts have chnaged since CS5.5 and many many new ones have been added so it may make sense to start from scratch with CC.

I don’t have CS5.5 loaded on my machine so I’m not 100% sure the file is located here but you can give it a shot.

    Copy your .kys file from
    /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Pro/5.5

    and paste to
    /Users/[username]/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/9.0/Profile-[username]/Mac

    Hope this helps!
