Yes it’s on NTSC DVCPRO50 tape. I do have a tubed waveform monitor, but I’m not reall expert with it. I usually use to make sure my video levels SP don’t go illegal. Should I crush the blacks as I digitize?

The advice I’ve had is 16gb’s are at least six months out but will be very closely followed by 32’s.

The compression will be really light with 100mbs. H264 looks gorgeous at 8mbs so who knows what 100mbs will look like. Excellent I imagine. I also hear great things about the JPEG2000 format Infinity uses. Tape and optical disc 😉 cameras are really to feel the pinch from these two new technologies.

Will do. The Panasonic rep talked about the H264-codec; defintely no vapourware. I’ll be looking at an actual production model apparently. (Digital Media World Dec 5-7)

Aha! Then do a channel remap I guess and you have four mono channels.

Hi Patrick,
We have loads of high-capacity Sony lithiums, so battery use by the ob-board wireless is the last of my worries. I’m usually more worried about the double-A’s going flat in the stand-alone wireless recievers we use now. I got mine from Joyce at Bexel for around $1780 with the Panasonic D-pin adaptor. She is great to deal with. That’s where I got my SDX900.
