The best approach is to take all the recorded files, un changed and with the same folder and file structure, copy them to the raid thats connected to Resolve. If you use another app to generate or modify the RMD, put that in the same place as they exist when made by the camera.

In Resolve, the image files will show in the library, when you add them to the media pool, Resolve will automatically look at the RMD and use that metadata. If your RMD is in a different place than where RED normally places it in the camera recordings we wont see it.

The RMD is only read when putting the clips into the media pool.

Resolve ships with the dnxhd support so u don’t need a seperate codec install. If u manually place the big clip into the media pool, can you play it?
If so, then try to use the edl for a preconform workflow. Details in the manual.

  • Two tests you can do. Try 2k dpx render. Try prores 444 HD.

Resolve does not check for aspect ratio or res for conflicts, it’s checking timecode, and if you select, reel name, file name, path, etc.

If you have two clips, with different timecode but everything else the same, they won’t show a conflict.

Hi, if you have two identical source files Resolve indicates the conflict. This seems normal. You need to resolve the conflict by selecting the clip you need.
In Deliver, if you are rendering to to a folder with files in that folder, Resolve warns you. Its a safety check that was requested many years ago to help prevent accidental overwrite of existing clips.

I think you must have the full version. Please go to the support web site and download the Lite version and try again. The file will explicitly saw Lite.
