Resolve appears to render grades, but files look like flat pass
Hi All,
We shot RAW on the BMCC, brought it into Resolve 9.1.3lite, changed the color space/gamma to BMD film, and output ProRes 4:4:4 files for editing.
We edited in FCP7, outputted XML, and brought into Resolve.
We opened the XML in the Conform page, did some simple 2-node grades in the Color page, and then tried to render it on the Deliver page.
We are rendering PRoRes clips to take back into FCP7 for compositing. Each time we hit render, we see the files play back with the grades on the monitor, but the folder we render to appears to have only a flat pass (the same look that we had before). The files have the right time on them, so I know I’m looking at the files Resolve just created.
I have flat pass turned OFF.
I feared it might have to do with trying to add handles, but the problem persists even with handles set to zero.
I suspect I am missing something very basic. I’ve been using Color for years, but am new to Resolve. Please help!
