    I was able to get this effect with Sony Production Assistant, using its motion tool. It gives you a lot of different options for all types of motion. The program also has many other useful features. It was well worth the money!

    I forgot to add that you should also be able to import it into your DVD labeling software too. I use Media Face and can import my own pictures from my files.

    This worked for me;
    1) open the desired background on the DVDA menu page.
    2) Get rid of the “Menu1” graphic that is on the page.
    3) right click the page and select “explore containing folder”
    4) find the background in the window that opens up,right click it and select “copy”
    5) then paste it into documents or whatever place you want.
    6) you can then open your Vegas project and import the file.
    Hope it works for you.

    I use Vegas Pro 9c and DVDA5

    Maybe I’m just lucky,but I’ve used Verbatim DVD+R DL discs and they’ve played just fine. Hope my luck holds out!

    I always use the “scrolling on transparent” media generator. It can also display timed sequence titles. You can fade them in or out, slide them in and out,etc. It’s easy and quick.

    I accidentally had “Ignore Event Grouping” selected. I’m surprised I missed that. Anyway, it works now. Thanks guys.

    I’ve been pleased with a company called Image West. Check them out online.

    What sort of intermediary format are you refering to. I’m not familiar with this type of technique. Thanks!

    Thanks for your response! This project was only 5.3 gigs with 2 chapters, so I could’ve lowered the bitrate on it. However, I’m sure I’ll have larger ones in the future. While trying to burn this project, unless I chose the “master” option, I didn’t see anything that prompted me to choose a break point choice. Did I miss a step along the way?

    The reason I’m trying to do this is probably because I’ve seen it on some TV show DVDs that I’ve watched. They usually play the intro till the theme song ends and then they start the menu again. Thanks for your response, it was helpful.
