My original post includes that I use an Internal Drive that runs at 7200rpm. I also posted that I use BATCH capture.
I have tried various machines for importing, sony vx2000, pd150, jvc GyDv500, Sony DSR30,SONY DSR-1800, No Bananas, tho, I know where I could put one for some smartass posters. Excuse my shortness but I am on a deadline and this forum has always been helpfull and professional and a response like that does no good.
    Thanx in advance.

yes, done did the disk utility repair permissions, and rebooted. Just strange, cause both the G4 & G5 are doing it.

Andy I beg to differ, I own a HP PhotoSmart scanner, which i use for negatives, prints and slides.
I can do much more with an image when scanned 300 dpi or better.
Sure if you will use the image as is, scanning at 72 dpi may be fine, but play it safe and scan at as high a rez as you can afford.

  • guess youve already done the prefs trashing?

If you live in or near a decent sized city, you should be able to go to any Professional (Not Walmart) film Devoloping & Printing service, and they can convert the slides to jpegs onto a CD. Cost should be about 2-3 dollars each image.
