Log and Capute / capture now DOES NOT WORK, it did in 4.5
Ok we have installed FCP 5 on a Dual 1 gig that use to run 4.5 VERY WELL. no we are trying to capture from a sony DSR-V10 DVcam clam shell deck which always worked amazing in 4.5, now it will not batch capture or even capture now. we get the error page, all the setting are DV 48 across the board. any takers!

guess youve already done the prefs trashing?

Are you running OS 10.3.9 or OS 10.4.1? 10.3.9 seems to be causing a lot of problems to a lot of people and I have avoided that OS.
If you’re running OS 10.4, did you do a complete clean install and then install FCP?
If you’re still trying to run OS 10.3.8 then that could be a problem with FCP 5.
