Looks all good. I am without a clue!

I think, what I would do is try to export a shorter piece to see if the size of the file is bugging your system. Let’s say ten seconds or something. Just to rule that out.

    Here’s a work around.

Save the still of the track grade.

Go to the shot you want to apply it to in clip mode. Make a new version.

Right click the still, then show node graph.

Manually add the nodes by dragging them to the node graph of your clip.

Delete the nodes that were there before you added the ones from the still.

Save a still from your grade.

Now you can append this grade/still to every shot in the timeline.

Can you open it in qt player 7, hit command-i and tell here what it exactly says?

I can’t be sure, just like you, but I think there’s a 99% chance it will work. My decklink sdi has never been a certified card, but works well.

I never knew or used that aaf file your talking about. What I do after render is rightclick timeline in conformpage and export aaf. Any changes you might have made will now be in the new aaf as well.

March 11, 2013 at 8:53 pm in reply to: DNxHD

Okay, I solved my issues. Apparently I had installed version 2.3.7 of the Avid codecs, however version 2.3.8 made them show up in Adobe Media Encoder and also Mpegstreamclip. Seems like one needs version 2.3.8 to use the codecs in Mountain Lion.

General tip: if you follow any links that are posted in threads, first check if there are any updates newer than that link…;)

That is exactly what isn’t happening; I don’t see dnxhd listed in the codec list.

Rightclick the shot in timeline, select ‘use local’.

    Good luck!

March 6, 2013 at 6:25 pm in reply to: Do you conform inside Resolve?

It all depends on how you got in Resolve in the first place. I mean, if you came from fcp for example and you stripped the timeline from any fx, stills and titles, you kinda need to roundtrip to add that back in and have it complete.

On the other hand there could situations where you came in with just a quicktime and you can simply sync the audiomix with the timeline in resolve and export your desired flavor.

So there is no one way that’s good, it all depends…
