Well, I bought this one because it said compatible with pc and mac, but what the drive really needs to say is: I’ll be compatible to anything you hook me with, as long as it is not “fat” and/or older than “32.” Oh man, will we ever simplify things a bit in the tech world.

That’s how I am capturing the clips, but what I need to find out is how to capture them the way I’m doing it now but without the time code embedded on the clip, since it breaks every five minutes and aborts the process.

Alexander, the media is on a external drive. I ended up being successful with this as Rafael mention, by exporting the sequences in small pieces. My guess is that because it was a 5 hour long sequences full of AVI unrendered clips, the computer had to work very hard to do all the processing at once.
