I’m trying to export a sequence, save it on a flash drive and go to another location/different computer and import it to another project. I like to do it without the need to carry my own project around just the sequence I need, can that be done?

    Thanks,

thanks Mike, I was trying to still have the monitor tabs and the buttons but without the actual video display, that way I could still launch and view footage on the source side without launching the actual display and screen it on the video monitor.

😉 I promise the next mass baptism apple does, I’ll be there to change my name and make it more apple compatible.

    Thanks John,

I think because I created this project on a “alias” folder, somehow didn’t register on the autosave vault the way it should. I still need to find out how alias folders work.

Thanks Shane, I tried that before but unless I right click on the actual clip, I won’t get the marker, right clicking everywhere else in the sequence brings different options but not the markers. And doing the clip only shows the clip’s markers not the whole sequence, am I right?

    Thanks,

I did but the latest I found in the vault was 4 hours earlier and I added a bunch of bins and organized clips during that time. I’ll take that there’s no way to salvage any part of the project even if only one sequence goes corrupted and the fcp tries to open it as you launch it, right? With the avid, you could open the project folder and copy the bins and paste them into another project, avoiding the trouble sequence and potentially saving yourself to redo a lot of work.

But in this case, where do you change the saving frequency for backing up versions in the autosave vault?

    Thanks,
