I’m definitely going to look into that because I’ve tried everything I can think of, defragmenting both drives, clearing about 60% off my drives, making sure all my drivers are up to date ensuring I do indeed have sata not ide. Sad thing is, native files from my hmc150 edit slightly smoother then cineform (though neither is at all smooth in the least) then there’s the freezing up and having to close premier and restart. I always thought cineform was suppose to be great though I’m sure I’m missing something. Maybe transcoding on high is too much for my system?
Maybe my system can’t handle HD
All the system is used for is editing, It literally has cs4 and some other necessities on it, and that’s it, been editing SD smooth as butter for a while now…
    I’m at such a loss…..
Is there a preset for cineform transcoded files for premier cs4?
Is there perhaps a setting in neoscene I skipped over?

Yea I’ve certainly looked into it but trying to avoid increased file sizes and the extra step. I guess that’s just what’s to be done with avchd at this point in time. I have a 1 tb drive in my comp as well. Windows xp 64 bit (don’t know if I mentioned that) I may just save up a bit more and go for the 3 ghz quad core. I figure if 2 can pretty much handle it then hopefully with 4 it’ll be good to go. How easily does this stuff edit in After effects? I suppose I’ll pop over to that forum and snoop around
    Thanks again.

  • Thanks Peter,
I’ve sent an E-mail today. I hope they can help. Thanks for the response.

  • It is…
It’s the old bait and switch… DO NOT buy from this company. My friend almost did (after I warned him not to) there’s a reason it SO cheap and you’ve never heard of them. I believe the scam goes something like:
“Oh well if you want battery it will be x-amount more…”
“Would you like to buy a warranty as this one doesn’t come with it”
“and of course I assume you want a lens, Well that will be extra sir”
A camera with no lens these people tried to sell my friend a lens less camera!! Be very weary of these websites…
