Ok so here’s the deal, buying a new pc for editing video. I am looking towards the following setup…
    -Intel Core2 Duo E8400
    -4GB 800MHz ram
    -80gb hdd (programs)
    -320gb hdd (data)
    -XP PRO x64 SP2
    -nVidia Quadro FX 570
    -XP PRO x64 SP2
(trust me I wanted way more but budgetary constraints blah blah blah)
I edit SD footage now but will be editing HD in maybe a year. I use Premiere pro CS3 and after effects CS3. I would like to be able to run two monitors one with the tracks and one with full screen video in both premiere and after effects. I also want to start tinkering with 3ds max (nothing too serious, ie. modeling bullets to import to after effects)
Would this system do me justice?
(I will be upgrading the video card to prolly the fx1500/1700 in the coming months)

Definately going to. Do you think the video card is enough? overkill perhaps?
