But in case you want to retain this behaviour for other clips in you sequence you can create new local or remote “versions”

Try a $300 gtx570 2.5gb on os10.8.2
You can use this for both GUI and cuda in slot one
Lite runs at same speed as full version, but you are limited to GUI video card and one cuda card
Your Mac Pro is what’s really slowing you down though…
Have you read the resolve config guide which explains all this?http://www.4Kfinish.com | owner-colorist | Hollywood, CA

I’ve asked this without response from bmd, because one of them posted a workaround I can’t find.
Apparently if you bring a tiff into media pool and change frame rate to 1 fps or something it recognizes it? Have not tried it. Not quite the same as recognizing stills from an XML a la apple color…http://www.4Kfinish.com | owner-colorist | Hollywood, CA

If there weren’t so many technical issues we could post more about art!

Sdi input optional card. There are hd and sd versions. Hd analogue component included.
You might have the sd sdi card installed.http://www.4Kfinish.com | owner-colorist | Hollywood, CA

I don’t really think its meant to replace a grade 1 broadcast monitor. But it is a great, accurate large display for client review and second reference. I love mine. I mean if you could buy a 50″ color grading broadcast monitor for $3500 nobody would buy anything else right? It is awesome for what it’s meant to be. But I trust my oled for the grading.

Pedro, I called Sony when I got my oled about that note in the manual about the sdi loop thru. The signal is fine, it just is not live if you power off the monitor. That’s it. I use it all day long. The scopes in resolve using a second display are great. If you already have a thunderbolt laptop, you could run ScopeBox on that with the ultra studio recorder.
I would save my scope money to upgrade to a macpro with cuda cards though if I were you. And use resolve scopes for now. When you get your scope setup you will be dismayed by the fact they look exactly like the resolve ones…http://www.4Kfinish.com | owner-colorist | Hollywood, CA

Akim, instead of reposting the entire Reslove manual online, how about YOUR exact system specs.
I would estimate that there are thousands of resolve users out there with working systems (including places like CO3 grading movies like Prometheus. in 3D). I don’t see them posting “Resolve sucks WAAAAAAAA!)
that being said, one simple thing you can try is to have the qualifier tab selected during playback instead of curves or window tab.
and btw, all those other software products you mentioned have plenty of their own bugs. all software does whether it’s free or $50k.http://www.4Kfinish.com | owner-colorist | Hollywood, CA
