Yeah color had a couple cool things…
You could try groups in resolve, but you need to be pretty well organized. Can be kinda tricky.http://www.4Kfinish.com | owner-colorist | Hollywood, CA

If you want fcp7 again, get premiere, or even fcpx. If you want to work in the post business and collaborate with other professionals, learn avid. Now. There are like 85 free tutorials on v6 here on the cow by Kevin mcauliffe. For free. Watch them. Only a few new things in v7, so it’s all still valid training.
If you are just doing personal or self contained projects, premiere and fcpx are really great.
But yeah, learning avid can be a bear, but it’s actually pretty freaking cool once you get it.http://www.4Kfinish.com | owner-colorist | Hollywood, CA

August 8, 2013 at 3:14 pm in reply to: Colorshift resolve 9.1.5 to FCP X 10.0.9 on an iMacResolves display window is not color managed. You are meant to look at picture through a video io card (decklink) on broadcast monitor. Render a clip out of fcp and compare both in qt. they should look the same.

Pull the 5770 and replace with gtx680 (slot 1) keep the 5770 though on hand for later use in case.
Get a single slot gtx 640 which needs no power connector in slot 2, and hook your monitor to that.
And go to liftgammagain.com and search the threads. Tons of opinions on graphic card setups without getting an expansion chassis (which is the best solution if you have an extra few grand to spend and want 3 or 4 graphic cards and red rockets etc)http://www.4Kfinish.com | owner-colorist | Hollywood, CA

That q4000 is an old slow card. Get a gtx680 in slot 1 for processing and a gtx 640 in slot 2 for gui

never mind, just saw this:
Also, some customers may be aware that in the past there was a not-so-secret way of enabling non-supported GPUs by the ‘hacking’ or removal of a text file. This is no longer necessary in Premiere Pro CC. As long as you have a reasonably modern card with at least 1GB of VRAM, you will still be able to enable that card in the Project Settings dialog. A warning message will appear letting you know that your card has not been certified by Adobe, but once that dialog is clicked through you can use your GPU.
