But if AME can read the audio then just make a new clip from there. Make a preset and batch the whole lot into something that you can use forever.

Have you tried just bringing the clip into AME? If it works there you can convert all the clips in one fell swoop.

Import that file into After Effects and see if you get audio there. If you do, just export a .wav and relink in PPro. That’s how I used to get around troublesome .avi’s.

Just use Prelude.

Just another reason to use Prelude. Put bin inside bin inside bin as much as you like and send over to PPro with that folder structure intact.
You can make it even easier than importing a bunch and sorting by just having the bin you’re targeting highlighted when you select and ingest your clips. They’ll go right into that bin. When you need them just right click and “Send to PPro”.
And while you’re there you can tag and keyword it all up…or not.

Nest the clip with the crop. Then put the white on that.

I’m with Alex on Bridge. Would like to see the same kind of push given to Prelude as well. And while they’re at it share a bunch of the functionality of Prelude with Bridge and Bridge with Prelude.

Inside PPro you can set any number of clips by selecting them in the Project Bin right clicking, Modify, Audio and set number of channels to 0. Only the video is added when used, but you can change the number of channels to bring the audio back if need be.
As for logging/transferring/importing audio and not video you can do this in Prelude. Select clips and ingest/transcode to .wav or .aac or whatever.
